ICNOS Adventures is an Italian Tour Operator based in Vietri sul Mare on the Amalfi Coast.
We live in Italy and we love Italy for its rich history, architecture and landscapes and we are very proud to be working and promoting Italian walking holidays, cycling trips, cultural vacations and unforgettable Italian memories, providing our local assistance to follow up each step of your next Italian experience. 

Our Team

Marcello was born and raised in Cava de' Tirreni, a town with a rich history located between lush green hills in Southern Italy. He grew up having as backyard the wonderful Amalfi Coast. Curious and always looking for different points of view his passion for flying brought him to successfully attend a course to be a pilot (SPC). He specialize in management of sustainable tourism and he does his best to transfer the principles of sustainability in every service that ICNOS Adventures provides, keeping in mind the value of the comfort after an active day. He has travelled extensively through Europe, North Africa, New Zealand, North & South America using all means of transportation. He has walked some of the best trails in the world and thought to share his homeland’s paths and Italian “way of life” with the travelers from all around the world. He spends much of his time directing the operations of our Italian hikes, exploring new Italian destinations and working with the guides to make your trips better. Marcello is an experienced adventurer and has firsthand experience of all our ICNOS Adventures.

Anna manages our tour operations from the Amalfi Coast office. She was driven to found ICNOS Adventures by a passion  for the green economy applied to the sustainable travel. An avid hiker and cyclist, having travelled across both western and eastern Europe by foot, bicycle and train, Anna is dedicated to develop memorable walking experiences in Italy and to promote the slow travel culture in Italy. Economics graduated, she specialized in ethical finance and become a volunteer promoter for the creation of the Ethical Bank in Italy. Thanks to her enthusiasm for the World Fair Trade Organization she promotes the Fair Trade products & ethical behaviour in ICNOS travel plans. When she is not travelling or working, she loves cooking, reading  and getting involved in environmental organization works.

Ferruccio is an active rider, a passionate sportsman and nature lover. He is in the board of a cycling team based in Rome, in which he promotes a sound approach to sport and the spread of cycling as a healthy and environmentally friendly activity. His specialty is mountain biking, because he feels it puts him closer to nature and fulfils his spirit of adventure and discovery of places and landscapes. He loves hiking, experiencing a more intimate approach to nature with the pleasure of taking care about the smallest details of a journey. As licensed tour leader he carries out duties of escorting ICNOS small groups, he loves setting up hiking excursions, planning new routes... always looking for new passages and approaches. He is a photo enthusiast and expert on GPS devices and has developed a 15-year-long working experience in IT companies.
 

Michael is a USA native who has traveled extensively for the last 20 years. Born in Chicago and spent his early adulthood in Los Angles before getting a terminal case of wanderlust. He has lived and traveled in most European countries and traveled in much of Africa. He has clocked over 43 countries and 800 cities.Traveled in all fashions from a year traveling Europe on a Harley, camping and hostels  to staying at some of the best hotels on the Arabian Peninsula. Michael is an avid trekker, climber and runner but he also hikes with two small children so he understands the need to develop walking trips that suit the person’s needs. Having been raised in the USA and worked in corporate America, he has brought that work ethic, knowledge of technology and the deeply rooted desire to make safety and communication our number one priority

Francesca was born in Genova,  the main town of the beautiful Ligurian coast. She is a geologist and a certified hiking guide. She worked for an oilfield company in Texas for few years, but today her main goal  is always  looking for new corners of Liguria. Her big passion is to join together nature,  tradition and food, working in Liguria and Piedmont, the region of her father, where  the soft rolling hills together with truffles, cheeses and wines create the perfect mix!! The steep cliffs and the medieval hamlets of the Cinque Terre National Park, the wild slopes and the fishing villages of the Park of Portofino create her ideal environment to discover the traditions of this ruggedly beautiful land. Francesca is working as guide since 13 years and is always enthusiastic to meet new people and to involve them in the knowledge of these landscapes. She is a keen expert of the local rocks, plants, fish and a very good cook of the local pesto and focaccia.
