Our family would like to thank ICNOS adventures for making our 8 day walking holiday in June 2012, along the Jewels of the Amalfi Coast so enjoyable. We had a wonderful time thanks to the planning and detail ICNOS Adventures offered us. The  maps, walking guides and itinerary were all very useful and  easy  to follow, the accommodation was  fantastic and the scenery amazing. It surpassed  our expectations. Mark and I used Icnos Adventures to help us plan a two week self-guided trip to Southern Italy and the Amalfi coast. We have had a great holiday organised by Icnos Adventures.  We will be commending you to all our friends and acquaintances.  You did a marvellous job on our self guided holiday, a lot of thought and time went into the detail and step by step instructions. It pretty much went like clockwork apart from a couple of little things that no one had control of.
We were very impressed with all our accomodation and location, close to transport, in 'character' areas. We certainly would have been unable to arrange that for ourselves.
We 'loved' Amalfi, that was our favourite place, the location, walks and stunning scenery.
We are definitely nature lovers and to finish our holiday in Stresa was ideal, with those mountains and lush green.  The weather was wet and cold the last couple of days however on a whole, the weather was good.  Rain in Spoleto and Venice for a day [...]. Graham went for a bike ride and thoroughly enjoyed it.  We also did a bike ride together which was lovely and that  day I struggled with any little hill and did wonder because by then our fitness was pretty good, I thought [...]
We didn't get to Herculaneum. I didn't matter, you can't do everything and what we did do and see was terrific.

Your small company was amazing in making our trip memorable.  Right from the start you and Anna responded to our enquiries comprehensively and always so promptly and all the information for the trip, ie maps, schedules, eating recommendations and accommodation was accurate and of high quality. The attention to detail in putting our package together was outstanding right down the the plastic carryall for the maps which came in very handy when it rained.
Our first stay  in Amalfi with Gabriella was particulary awesome and made a great starting point for our discovery of the Amalfi peninsula. The walk took us through breathtaking scenery, quaint and pretty villages and the smell and colour of the lemon orchards will stay with us forever. I can't imagine a better way of seeing that part of the world.

We much enjoyed our stay in Tuscany.
The holiday went smoothly and we really enjoyed the company of our guide, Sara.  Apart from being a fun person she was so very knowledgeable on the region and just good company. The accommodation on the farm estate was fine, my only gripe would be that I would have appreciated an extra hook or two in the bathroom!
In the evening it was lovely just to wander down to the dining room at the allotted time to enjoy a delicious regional supper.  All the staff were extremely pleasant and seemed to enjoy working at Farmhouse, which made for a good atmosphere.
Of course the setting was beautiful and I loved walking away from the busy areas.

"There were four of us on a walking holiday on the Amalfi coast in August 2011. We had a varied range of walking abilities so we needed alot of flexibilty in our travel arrangements. We also had to deal with a summer heatwave. Nevertheless we had a fantastic holiday, largely thanks to the impeccable organisation by ICNOS. From the early stages of planning our itinerary they were sensitive to our needs and always went the extra mile to ensure we had a great holiday. The accommodation was excellent , the recommendations for walks perfect and the route descriptions so well set out that we never got lost! The support drivers that were employed were first class, courteous and extremely helpful in providing local information. The only mishaps we had were as a result of the vagaries of public transport but these were minimised once we got the hang of the timetables and local "flexibility"! Marcello was always able to respond to us immediately by text/phone if we had any concerns. I would strongly recommend ICNOS to anyone planning a self guided walk in the Amalfi /Capri area." "We took the self-guided tour of the Cinque Terre and the organisation by Icnos Adventures was excellent. On arrival, we were provided with detailed and very helpful information about the walks for each day, including strenuous and less strenuous options. The only problems that arose had nothing to do with Icnos, namely the rough seas meant that we could do little by boat and a landslide prevented us walking between some of the villages. The transportation arrangements between venues worked perfectly and we liked all three hotels that we stayed in, particularly the way in which they became increasingly luxurious.  The restaurant recommendations were first rate too.  Marcello and Anna paid great attention to detail and even arranged a cake for our daughter’s 21^st birthday. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Icnos.

"Icnos Adventures’ “Jewels of the Amalfi Coast” self-guided walking tour was a fabulous experience from beginning to end.  Highlights included detailed and easy-to-follow walking instructions, which enabled us to stay off the beaten track without ever getting lost; first rate hotel accommodations (most notably our Tramonti B & B, where our hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome and well looked-after); and renowned visitor sites such as Pompeii, the Island of Capri, and the magnificent Villa Cimbrone in Ravello.   Marcello and our local hosts provided excellent dining recommendations, including an unforgettable pasticceria in Minori (try anything with lemon!), excellent seafood, pasta and local cheeses.  Walks encompassed magnificent Amalfi coastal scenery, picturesque villages, Roman ruins, historic  churches, fragrant lemon groves and quiet forested trails.  Distances walked each day were very manageable,  and there was ample opportunity for shopping and sightseeing along the way.  We cannot recommend this vacation too highly!"  A. We were not sure what to expect, and being older walkers, were a bit apprehensive about whether we could manage the difficulty level of the walks. "We had a wonderful holiday in the Amalfi coast. The daily walks were all very good and just about the right lenght. The nicest walk was in Amalfi nature reserve followed closely by the second days walk in Capri. The walk that was the poorest but still a good walk was down into the fjord. There was no need for the earlier part of the walk. It really should have started at the to of the steps leading down into the fjord. There is a lovely restaurant at the bottom were we had a lovely lunch before continuing. From an logistical point of view we found the walking instructions were all concise and accurate. The taxis and transport in general ran like clockwork. Every hotel we stayed in was nice and comfortable. There could be no grounds for complaint on any point. Regards"

"Walking the Cinque Terre - self guided, was a wonderful trip. The info provided was very detailed, but left just enough room for some exploration and discovery on our own. The accomodations were perfect, and all transfers worked perfectly. Even train schedules were provided! If you love Italy, as I do, and want to get the most out of each trip (enjoying "getting lost" but keeping it under control) Icnos adventures is for you. Even though we never needed to call, it was nice knowing that a phone number was provided if a problem had occur
