A boat trip across the scintillating waters of the Bays of Salerno and Naples leads to the stunning Capri. This legendary island,  is surrounded by rose-tinted rocks and coves washed by translucent blue sea, giving it the look of a precious marine gem.  The stylish island with its busy and beautiful “piazzetta” is a labyrinth of twisting alleys, countless glamorous boutiques and fine restaurants. The tour of the island takes in its dramatic and steep roads with amazing outlooks towards Vesuvius and rocky sea shores. The heights of the isle allows for many stunning views. The Roman emperor Tiberius, the poet Pablo Neruda, Oscar Wilde and many others found their paradise on this island.

DAY 1:  Isle of Capri Walk
walking – easy from 3.5 hrs to 5 hrs
Arrival on your own to the Isle of Capri. You can easily take a boat from Naples, Sorrento, Positano or Amalfi. You will find details & timetables in our pre departure information.
A private taxi is waiting for you at the harbor of Marina Grande; it takes you to your hotel.  
Then you start your walk towards the impressive Roman ruins of the Villa Jovis, the palace of Emperor Tiberius, before joining the coastal path along the Arco Naturale until you reach the Faraglioni - the peculiar rocks protruding out of the sea. Later you can choose to visit the Convent of San Giacomo and the Gardens of Emperor Augustus or relax while enjoying a gelato, before returning to your hotel.

DAY 2:  Sentiero dei Fortini  
walking – easy from 4 hrs to 5 hrs
A private transfer takes you  on the western side of Capri where a surprisingly attractive path, rich in history and enhanced by unique vegetation with intense fragrances and colors of Mediterranean scrubland is waiting to be hiked. The "Sentiero dei Fortini" runs from side to side the western coast and passes by a series of old blockhouses ("fortini"). Those were built at the time of the Saracen invasions, and they were converted into short range artillery forts by the English and French during the Napoleonic wars.
The path goes through deep coves with crystal blue water and limestone rocky promontories where you pass by the "Fortini" from where the trail gets its name.

Day 3 - Departure
After breakfast a private transfer takes you to the harbor of Marina Grande and you say “arrivederci” to Capri
